00News and Notes …but I don’t feel like writing about any of them.
Of course the big problem is that I can’t get personal email at work, so I get hammer with everything once I get home. And of course the eternal question, what do you say when you don’t have much to say.
On a technical note, I’ve gotten my linux server up again. I’m very much enjoying using the Usenet access via www.easynews.com. If you need usenet access, they’re pretty good. I’ve had fun playing with nntp, it was a dream a while ago to actually run my own nntp leaf node, so this is fun. Nothing serious, but fun.
I’m building up my project list too. I’m planning & trying to run several projects now. So I’m trying to allocate my time most effectively, which really is my way of saying I’m not 100% sure what to do with it all.

00News and Notes I got a new tv recently an LG 37LC7D. I found it had a serial port on
the back and so I wanted to hook it up to a linux box and use a web
interface to control the TV functions. A little bit of php coding and
a null-modem cable, and I had an interface to change channels, set
the volume and select the input. It was a fun simple project, I’ve

00News and Notes Moving sucks, two tons of crap and not enough dumpsters.
lol.
I’m getting some packing done but I feel like it’s going too slowly. I need to make a goodwill run and give a bunch of stuff to them. I’ve still got a lot of crap in the computer room to both junk and pack. I can’t tell if I have more stuff than when I moved back to Jax or less. I know I filled a 17′ truck moving up here, but not I’m wondering what it was full of… I think I’ve been a little good at throwning stuff away this time and not holding on to so many things.
The good part is that I’m throwing off some barnacles that weigh me down. I’m moving to a new house with a woman I love and a daughter that’s adorable. I will be able to refresh myself with new things. I won’t be stuck trying to keep up the old things. This is the stuff I love, new possibilities and potentials and everything both scary and wonderful that comes with it.
Pooks is going through some stuff now and it’s hard to advise her. It deals with old friends and that always makes it harder.
We all had a stressful day yesterday, so before bed we got together and had a family prayer time. It felt good to just sit together and let out our worries and frustrations and then to remember the things we were thankful for.
I’ve been stuck w/o my linux box and everything is getting packed away so I haven’t had a lot of time to do things computer wise. 
I do think I want to setup the prime number database again. It’s the kind of cool project I enjoy doing that makes no good sense.
