00News and Notes Anthony helped me replace the serpentine belt on the van last night. It went fairly easily and only took one 15mm wrench and a jack. Well, and the new belt of course. So I’m really happy about that. Now I get to re-figure out insurance as Mags drives the jeep around.
They towered off the escort yesterday and I’m only upset about that b/c I forgot to siphon the gas out of it. Since it’s so expensive now, that could have saved us some money.

00News and Notes I had a horrible dream last night. I was with Pooks in our house and she was dying from some horrible disease that was eating away at her head and body. She had gaping holes in her head where the disease had eaten through skin and bone. Eventually her skin was in tatters, bright red strips encircling her body. I was trying to get a doctor to see her or get her to a hospital but couldn’t and I was scared and disgusted at the same time. I didn’t like seeing her hurt and there was nothing I could do.
It was the kind of dream that you remember and even now I feel slightly nauseous thinking about it. It doesn’t help that Pooks really is sick with a very bad cold.
I spent the weekend cleaning. It was a little lonely putting lights on the tree Sunday. The girls were out with “things-to-do”, so I put lights on the tree. I had put together the tree on Saturday. I still have to go shopping for Pooks and Mags. Actually I need to do shopping for everyone else too, lol. I’ll get it done. Still waiting to hear from the insurance guy on Mags’ car. Waiting sucks.

00News and Notes Maggie accidentally ran into someone from the rear last night. She just had minor bumps and scrapes but was really shaken up. The airbag deployed (thank God, it’s a 13year old car) and it scraped her arm a little.
Here it is after we had it towed home.
I’m very glad she wasn’t hurt. She’s gotta take the driving class now. I also had her sit with me while I called Geico and we answered the questions together. Geico was awesome too, my coverage fully covers everything for the other guys car and they are sending an appraiser out to evaluate the escort. Yeah it was a Ford Escort. My old car, the one I got while in the process of getting divorced. So I’m kinda sad to see it go. I expect that it’ll just be declared totaled and that would be the end of it.

00News and Notes Turned 34 on Saturday! Yay! Woot! Yippee!
Went to see the Harry Potter movie, verdict: it was ok, but not great.
Spent the rest of the day relaxing with Pooks. Since she had been out of town for the week we used most of the day to just be together and enjoy each others company. It was a nice long relaxing weekend.
Several friends of mine are doing ’self-improvement’ type things. preparing for job changes, working on their education, things like that. I have wondered if I should be doing those things too, but I really like what I do, maybe not where I’m doing it, but I love the what part. If anything, going back to school for a masters would be worthwhile, but I look at the time and money it would take and I have my doubts about it. I know it’s a good investment, but with other things to worry about…
on a good note, I’ve paid off my van woohoo!

00News and Notes Just a few quick notes for a Thursday.
Pook’s having car trouble.
We got Maggie’s new wheels.
Some sick bastard posted some frames from videos of him mutilating & killing cats in his bath tub. It makes me angry and worried, angry b/c cats are basically defenseless against people and worried b/c that’s only a few steps away from doing the same things to people. Just a reminder that this is a fallen world. I hope Christ comes fast, this place sucks lol.
More renders on the way. I have been doing some short ones while working on my storyboard for the next comic. I have been making some discoveries about What stories I can tell as well as how to tell them. I think for me the most important thing is the story boarding process. It helps me figure out what motivates my people to do what they’re doing. Thinking about that ahead of time definitely helps me understand the best placement of people and objects to help convey those emotions and sub-conscious thoughts.

00News and Notes I left for work this morning and started down the block when I could tell something felt funny. My engine started making noises that were unusual and so I rounded the block and headed back home. Keeping up beat, but knowing something was wrong. I got home checked the engine and saw that there was a lot of water splashed on just one side of the engine, I was thinking maybe something was making it lower than the other side and voila! It was a flat tire.
The flat and going through puddles got water on the serpentine belt making it squel as it slipped and tried to run. So I found my jack, and got it out, for the first time ever. Then I found the doughnut spare (underneath the minivan with a weird lowering cable thing to keep it in place. I lowered it down, turns out i had to crank it out about 5 feet before I could actually get it off of the wire holder thingy. I jacked up the car and removed the old tire and put on the doughnut and lower the car to find that the doughnut was flat too…
I move the car (with the flat doughnut) and put the old tire in the back of helen’s car. She went up to get a new tire. I stayed home and warmed up. Oh have I mentioned that it’s 4o degrees F and raining outside? It was wet and cold and I was wet and cold and moving a tire in that weather sucks ass.
Helen comes back with the new tire and I roll the van back into the drive way, jack it back up, Maggie comes out to help she’s sick though, remove the doughnut, put the new tire back on, Maggie is coughing and sneezing while helping with this. The van gets a new tire and we decide to go to lunch. I have to fuss at maggie for screwing around while we’re trying to get going. We eat chinese buffet and enjoy it. I’m feeling pretty tired and beat by now. My nose starts to run. I grab a tissue to blow it, and then look up at Maggie and say, “You did this to me!” She grins like an cat that ate a canary.
Off to work where we have to do something about lake O.
