Neverwhere Donald's Rating: (8 out of 10) Neil Gaiman always has a good story to tell and this one is good. The production values can get low (think Tom Baker Dr. Who) but overall it's a good mini-series.
Now and Then, Here and There Donald's Rating: (10 out of 10) If you watch this, be sure to get all three DVD's. If you just watch the first one or two you'll just be depressed for the next few weeks. Returner (2002 R) Donald's Rating: (8 out of 10) Actually quite decent... A girl comes back to the present from the future(where else?) and coerces a martial arts expert and hit-man to help her find an alien that started an interstellar war... There is some nice martial arts and gun play in this movie. The plot is strong and flows really well. Unlike a lot of foreign films it actually keeps a nice fast pace. I liked it quite a bit.

This movie is a great combination of seriousness and humour that I've seen in a while. It is very easy to identify with the situations and people as they run helter skelter from a zombie horde.

Stacy Donald's Rating: (6 out of 10) Girls between 15 and 17 die & turn into zombies called "Stacys". Japanese horror shock zombie film. Also, some kind of weird presentation that it's men that make the girls turn into zombies by the projection of our desires on them... definately different.

True Stories Donald's Rating: (8 out of 10) David Bryne of the Talking Heads makes a "completely cool, multi-purpose movie".
Underworld Donald's Rating: (8 out of 10) Like the "Wolfman vs. Dracula" black and white film from when I was a kid except way better.

Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer Donald's Rating: (10 out of 10) Sometimes you really hit on an idea or theme that carries a movie or infects it with a thought that moves the audience forward to a place they didn't expect. I see the idea here that anything is possible that dreams can take on a substance and feeling of their own. The movie gets a little wonky in the middle, but highly rated anyway.
