Daily Devotions Via Email

Here are a selection of daily devotions written by men and women of great faith and inspiration. If you are not sure which one to use, I suggest the "Daily Light". It is pure scripture and has been around for at least 200 years. What a wonderful statement to it's assistance of Christians seeking solace and instruction.

The Daily Light
Daily Light has been a favorite daily devotional scripture reading for decade after decade, even century after century. It consists of brief groupings of scripture passages which speak to prominent Biblical themes -- two themes (morning and evening) for each day of the year. It appends no commentary, but simply allows scripture to speak for itself.

Morning and Evening by Charles Spurgeon
"I do not come into this pulpit hoping that perhaps somebody will of his own free will return to Christ. My hope lies in another quarter. I hope that my Master will lay hold of some of them and say, "You are mine, and you shall be mine. I claim you for myself." My hope arises from the freeness of grace, and not from the freedom of the will."

--Charles Haddon Spurgeon

"Daily Walking With God" by Octavius Winslow

Winslow was ordained as a pastor in 1833 in New York. He later moved to England where he became one of the most valued nonconformist ministers of the nineteenth century, largely due to the earnestness of his preaching and the excellence of his prolific writings. He held pastorates in Leamington Spa, Bath, and Brighton. He was also a popular speaker for special occasions, such as the opening of C. H. Spurgeon’s Metropolitan Tabernacle in 1861. After a short illness, he died on March 5, 1878, and was buried in Abbey Cemetery, Bath.
