Bad dreams...

I had a horrible dream last night. I was with Pooks in our house and she was dying from some horrible disease that was eating away at her head and body. She had gaping holes in her head where the disease had eaten through skin and bone. Eventually her skin was in tatters, bright red strips encircling her body. I was trying to get a doctor to see her or get her to a hospital but couldn't and I was scared and disgusted at the same time. I didn't like seeing her hurt and there was nothing I could do.

It was the kind of dream that you remember and even now I feel slightly nauseous thinking about it. It doesn't help that Pooks really is sick with a very bad cold.


I spent the weekend cleaning. It was a little lonely putting lights on the tree Sunday. The girls were out with "things-to-do", so I put lights on the tree. I had put together the tree on Saturday. I still have to go shopping for Pooks and Mags. Actually I need to do shopping for everyone else too, lol. I'll get it done. Still waiting to hear from the insurance guy on Mags' car. Waiting sucks.

Surreal

This weekend has been kinda surreal. Friday night I stayed up way late playing WoW (alterac valley honor weekend.) Got up early Saturday morning and watched the War series by Ken Burns. We had watched teh first episode already but skipped the others until Sat Morning. Watching three in a row was something else. I tried to play more Wow but was too tired and went to sleep for a while. I got up and Helen and I had a nice candle-lit dinner outside where we cooked skewers over our little fire-pit. It was a very nice night and we both had a great time.

Sunday we had breakfast with Eve and saw the movie "Resident Evil: Extinction" It was decent, not great but decent. If you liked the first one, this one is better. More zombies and a lot more ass kicking. I liked the new white queen, I want my computer to do that.
Hint the computer is the little girl in the white dress.

I spent most of the afternoon working or trying to work. It was difficult to stay focused.

I woke up this morning having a bad dream. I dreamt that I was getting a tatoo of some dolphins playing in the surf under the setting sun. The problem was the guy giving me the tattoo was using an old razor blade dipped in ink to do it and his girl friend was helping and she just had a hunk of metal dipped ink that she was scraping my skin with. It was disturbing, so I'm up early on a rainy Monday morning thinking of the week ahead, (Helen has her surgery) and the work I need to do and feeling a slight twinging in my shoulder.

Root canal number two done.

Had root canal number two yesterday. It was rougher experience than the first time. It stank more as this tooth was bigger and so there was more flesh to cut through. I spent a large portion of the day in pain and in a too-much-ibuprophen induced stupor. It was hard to work, I did do a few things but not a whole lot. I did some things for work, cleaned a little and installed Slackware 11 on my linux box. That was probably not the best idea given the state I was in.

Pooks came over that evening and her mom's dog had gotten sick in her car. I helped her clean the dog and the car. I stayed up reading Harry Potter IV. I could have gone to bed at 9:30 and slept but I didn't want to be up at 4am.

When I did get up though I kept hitting the snooze button and had some weird dreams some Very weird dreams before I actually dragged in to work.
